7 years!!!

I was looking at a friend's blog about it being their anniversary and I realized I never posted anything about my own!!! I had posted stuff about my anniversary on facebook but I never did a blog for it. So here goes:

Our 7th anniversary was December 22. We went to an AMAZING restaurant called 1492. It's New World Latin cuisine. It's basically really amazing Mexican food-some regular Tex-Mex and some not so regular (Justin got duck tacos in this amazing sweet chipotle sauce). And they had this white queso with chorizo in it called queso fundido that was unbelievable. Then we stayed at the bed and breakfast we always stay at, which we look so forward to every year (the Grandison at Maney Park). I just love it there-it is just the perfect place to celebrate your anniversary. The next day we say 4 Christmases, which is a really funny movie.

These 7 years have gone by so quickly! It's really cool b/c we are still as close as ever and we just seem to evolve together. And I think one of the things that has been so special is our ability to laugh together and be absolutely silly around each other. If you can't have fun together, what's the point? I'm just so grateful and proud to be married to this man who amazes me every day with his kindness, his intellect, his sense of humor, and his spirit. He has this gentle strength about him and is such a blessing to everyone who comes in contact with him. And he is the most amazing husband and father. I hope Eli grows up to be just like him.

The next city councilman of Guthrie

My husband is running for City Council in Guthrie!!!! Look out world, here he comes!

Justin is going to be doing a blog about his journey up until the election in February. I think we'll even have t-shirts and other political propaganda, so if you'd like to be part of the propoganda, let me know. It's ok if you don't live in Guthrie, you can be Justin's ambassadors to the world.

Not a happy camper

I just found out that the new Harry Potter movie has been pushed back to July 2009. Something about the studio being able to make more money in the summer season. Because they don't make enough already. That is not cool at all.

NERD ALERT

I just saw a trailer for the new Harry Potter movie!!! I am so excited. I guess it comes out on November 21. I might have to read the book again. I've read the first 5 books 3 times. I started reading the 6th one for the 3rd time but didn't finish it before the 7th book came out (and I just had to read the 7th book when it came out). So I'll have to read the 6th one for a full 3rd time and then read the 7th book 2 more times to catch up with all the other ones. I told you I'm a nerd. But I LOVE HARRY POTTER!

Barack Obama Likes Wilco

Apparently Obama spoke at a music club that Jeff Tweedy and a couple other Wilco guys were playing at.

"Before these guys go, I want them to know that I had heard a rumor that they had suggested that I had nothing by them on my iPod," Obama said. "That is not true. I love Wilco."

Need I say more?

THE AVETT BROTHERS ARE COMING BACK!!!

They are coming September 10 to Cain's Ballroom. I can't believe it! We'll get to see them 2 times in one year. For those of you that aren't obsessed with them yet, you need to come to the concert. I had hardly heard any of their music when I went to the concert with the McCartys, and now almost 2 months later, I'm they are one of my favorite bands ever. I can't even tell you how good they are live. CDs and videos can't do them justice (although those are good too).

Eli's blog

Hey everyone-

I wanted to let you know I have made Eli's blog private. I have a friend that had someone basically steal her identity (they used the pictures, stories, etc. from her blog and posed as my friend on some online forums). That is really scary. So, even though it might be a pain, my blog is private now. Sorry for the trouble, but I want to protect my family.
